Individuals who may be interested in this program include, but are not limited to, entry-level and seasoned security professionals, managers, executives, application developers, sales engineers, product management and marketing professionals, independent consultants.
By becoming a PCIP, the applicant is joining other dedicated professionals in the pursuit of the protection of account data and the environments where such information is stored, processed or transmitted.

Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP)™ Program enrolment process :
Candidates for PCIP qualification must have a minimum of two years relevant work experience in an IT or IT related role and must possess a base level of knowledge and awareness of information technology, network security and architecture, and the payment industry.
Candidates should familiarize themselves with background information regarding the PCI Standards and supporting documents by reviewing all of the material found in the document library on the PCI SSC website. Please read and understand the PCI DSS version 3.2 before taking the PCIP training and exam.
Following the live instructor-led training candidates will have 30 days to take the exam. The student will have 90 minutes to complete a 60 question multiple choice exam at a local Pearson VUE Testing Center. Should a candidate fail the exam the first time, s/he will be allowed to retake the exam up to three times (an exam retake fee will apply for each attempt).
